Friends of the Forum is a 501c3 non-profit organization (Federal ID 20-8943695) that promotes Polish/Jewish dialogue through education and interchange between Poles and Jews.
FOF works closely with Forum For Dialogue, a Warsaw-based not-for-profit whose mission is to foster Polish-Jewish dialogue, teach tolerance through education, and build new connections between Poles and Jews. Since 1998, the Forum has been working to eradicate anti-Semitism, prejudice, and stereotypes through educational initiatives, workshops, and exchange programs.
Forum’s highly-respected School of Dialogue–implemented more than 200 times in over 130 locations–connects Polish high-school students with the history and contributions of Jews who lived in their towns. Forum is also expanding its Leaders of Dialogue program, which is creating a national network of local activists and educators engaged in preserving Jewish memory. In 2015, Forum initiated its Summer School of Dialogue, a master class for student leaders from the School of Dialogue program.
Equally important, Jews from the United States and elsewhere are connecting to both Polish/Jewish history and their personal family stories through connections to the School of Dialogue and other interactions with modern Poland. Together, we are creating strong bridges to the future for Poles and Jews.
