Friends of the Forum is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering Polish/Jewish relations. Through dialogue and genuine people-to-people connections, we strive to overcome historical barriers and promote understanding, empathy, and reconciliation.

By facilitating open and honest conversations across languages, geographies, and memories, we aim to bridge divides and cultivate a shared sense of history and heritage between Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Poland and the U.S..

That is why we work closely with Forum for Dialogue, the oldest Polish non-profit dedicated to improving Polish/Jewish relations. Since 1998, Forum has worked in Poland to foster interest in local Jewish history, preserve joint Polish/Jewish heritage, educate about antisemitism, and build civil society. Simultaneously, the Forum has been reaching out to members of the international Jewish community, encouraging them to be part of Polish/Jewish dialogue and offering educational opportunities, such as study visits to Poland and participation in the Zoom in on the Forum program.

In 2023, the Forum for Dialogue combined its local and international efforts by creating the Forum for Dialogue Network. Within the Network, the Forum identifies and connects people from Poland and abroad who understand the value of remembering and commemorating the past with empathy, believe in honest and ethical research of Polish/Jewish history, and share a spirit of mutual respect.

Our organization supports Forum for Dialogue’s efforts by creating a US-based network of friends, allies, and supporters. Together, we established an international community of people for whom Polish/Jewish relations and heritage matter.
